With more than two decades at the forefront of technology and connectivity, Tran combines commercial leadership, infrastructure expertise, and public-private partnership experience. His background spans investment, M&A, and critical infrastructure deployment across mobile, fiber, satellite, and emerging digital ventures: From smart cities and drones to robotics and new digital services, consistently bridging strategy with execution in complex environments.

Recognized as a first mover and early adopter, Tran has introduced industry-shaping innovations, including Scandinavia's first digital partner gamification initiatives, mobile phones as elderly health services, and early explorations into robotics sales and drone-based market surveillance. His passion for emerging technologies led to his role as co-founder and country representative for the GSMA Drones Group.
Prior to joining Origination, he held senior executive roles at Telenor ASA, where he led major growth initiatives and strategic shifts. He played a pivotal role in building and demerging Telenor's fiber company and remains deeply committed to digital inclusion as a foundation for sustainable development.
Tran's leadership extends beyond the private sector. As the youngest and first Vietnamese elected to a city council in Norway, he has served on numerous public boards and contributed to government and Prime Ministerial advisory bodies. His early career includes service in the Norwegian Royal Navy as a Watch Commander focused on IT network operations and training.
He holds a Master of Arts in Management from the Oslo School of Management and the University of Hertfordshire, graduating with distinction and receiving a university prize for outstanding academic performance. Beside this, he has completed executive programs at INSEAD and London Business School.
Arriving in Norway as a boatrefugee from the Vietnam War at age two, he credits his family's values of hard work, continious learning, loyalty, and integrity as the foundation of his leadership. Tran lives with his wife and three children on Nesøya, an island just outside Oslo.
